This time of year is unpredictable weather. Be prepared for sudden changes. May and October can be some of the driest months, although snow storm may occur then, while late April and May can be windy.

Be Prepared for snowy, icy roads and trails, possible road closures. Roads on South Rim are plowed when needed. The North Rim is usually closed because they have more more heavier snow.

Pleasant 50-80 degrees, frequently have thunderstorms during July, August, and beginning of September, the inner canyon temperatures are extreme. Daytime highs at the river, below the rim usually 105 degrees.
